Name and Role:

 Christine – Vet Assistant

1. How long have you been a part of the Caring Hands team?

A: Since January 2025!

2. Do you have any pets? Tell us a little about your favorite furry (feathered, or scaled) friends?

A: Moonshine and Malibu! I’ve had Moonshine since I was in high school and got Malibu on a Valentine’s Day whim. Now Moonshine is 13 years old and Malibu is 2 years old. I’ve fostered a kitten while working here, Sake/Poppy, and she’s now living with a friend and her new sister Daisy. I live with one of my best friends, Makana, and her dog (my niece) Cleo. It takes everything in me not to fill the house with animals and have a zoo, so I’m so grateful for everyone bringing in their pets so I can love and dote on them as if they were my own!

3. What’s something that always makes you happy?

A: Kittens! I’m an avid cat lover and will always say ‘hi’ and give a cuddle to every kitten that walks into our doors. Or a really nice beach day with sandwiches, chips, and books!

4. What’s something about you that most people don’t know?

A: I’ve played sports my whole life! Starting with soccer and ju-jitsu, I played on my school teams and travel for soccer until college. I picked up cheerleading in high school and was on an all-star and my school’s varsity team for most of high school. I also started playing rugby from high school until college. So, I guess you could say I was booked, busy, and tired!

5. If you had a superpower, what would it be?

A: Flying! I love to travel but hate the airline pricing. Plus, I would never have to pay for gas again!

6. Why do you love working at Caring Hands Animal Hospital?

A: I’ve been fortunate enough to become great friends with several of my coworkers, which is just the cherry on top of being able to make those without a voice feel better!
