Meet Dr. Katherine Myhre
DVM
Dr. Katherine Myhre developed a passion for veterinary medicine at an early age, having grown up surrounded by the profession. Witnessing the impact compassionate veterinary care can have on the lives of pets and their families, combined with a strong interest in the physical sciences, inspired her to pursue a career as a veterinarian.
A Seattle native, Dr. Myhre attended the University of Pennsylvania for her undergraduate studies before returning to the Pacific Northwest to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Washington State University. She then completed a small animal rotating internship at Friendship Hospital for Animals and has since practiced in both the Seattle and Baltimore areas.
Dr. Myhre's professional interests include dermatology and preventive medicine. She is passionate about building lasting relationships with clients and their pets while fostering a positive, low-stress experience for every visit. She is proud to be certified as an Elite Fear Free Professional.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Myhre enjoys spending time with her spouse and son, as well as their two dogs, Zeus and Loki, and two cats, Merlin and Athena. In her free time, she enjoys playing soccer, biking, spending time with family, and spoiling her pets.
