Meet Dr. Bethany McLean
DVM
Dr. Bethany McLean didn’t just join Caring Hands Animal Hospital; she brought a whole lot of heart and a fresh "Gator" spirit with her! After earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 2026, she’s hit the ground running and is ready to keep your furry family members in tip-top shape.
While some people shy away from "science talk," Bethany grew up fascinated by it, specifically the cool ways animals and humans are alike and the quirky ways they aren’t. Today, she channels that lifelong curiosity into the broad scope of general practice. She is particularly passionate about solving the medical mysteries of internal medicine, perfecting pearly-white smiles through dentistry, and building strong partnerships with pet parents through clear communication.
When she’s not at the clinic, Bethany is a total culture seeker. Whether she is getting lost in a new book, catching a movie, or vibing to live music, she is always looking for inspiration. However, all those hobbies take a backseat to her true number one: her beloved cat, Freddy.
Bethany is overjoyed to be living in such a vibrant cultural hotspot. While she is ready to provide the best care for your companions, she is also on a personal mission to find the best local eats. Please feel free to bring your favorite restaurant recommendations to your next appointment!
