Dr. Streck, Co-Owner, graduated from Texas A&M University with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She joined Caring Hands Animal Hospital shortly after graduation and has been a valued member of the team ever since. Dr. Streck holds specific interests in soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, dentistry, animal behavior, and the human-animal bond. She is Low Stress Handling Certified for Dogs & Cats and is USDA Accredited, ensuring she provides compassionate and comprehensive care. In 2000, she was honored with the PetSmart Human-Animal Bond Award for her work with a fledgling student-led service dog organization called Aggie Guide-Dogs and Service Dogs. Outside of work, Dr. Streck competes in agility with her two border collies and enjoys homesteading. She currently shares her home with her partner and two children, along with three dogs (Dash, Whisper, and Bickie), three cats (Klondike, Annie, and Trooper), poultry, and dairy goats.
