Bebe Gorrell – Domestic Shorthair
How did you obtain your pet?
He showed up in my back yard in April with no ID. After several days he was still hanging out, so I started feeding him. He wasn’t feral, but shy. It wasn’t long before he was friendly. I had him scanned for a chip. Didn’t have one. Put lost cat notices and a picture online and on the neighborhood listserve. No response. After two months, I decided to adopt him. Bebe is Chinese for “Little Brother,” which is what I called him at first since I have an older female cat.
How old is your pet?
Not sure. About a year or a little more?
What is your pet’s favorite pastime?
He plays with a mouse toy. Running around the house at full speed. Staring out the window at the squirrels and birds. Sleeping!
What is your pet’s favorite toy?
A mouse toy. He also likes to bat the lamp cord that has a ball on it.
What is your favorite thing about your pet?
He is affectionate, playful. He gently pats my face with a paw when he wants attention. He also likes to touch noses with me as he does with my other cat. Not my favorite, but he attacks my bare feet and ankles!
If your pet had a superpower, what would it be?
“Speed Racer” — He is always racing my other cat to the food dish, or up the stairs when it’s time for bed to get first dibs on a place to sleep on my bed.
Why does your pet love Caring Hands Animal Hospital?
Caring Hands provides great care. I appreciate their partnership with the Animal Welfare League of Arlington. AWLA recommended Caring Hands to us.
