How did you obtain your pet?
My husband adopted him from the Newport News, VA ASPCA when he was an older puppy.
How old is your pet?
He’s a senior citizen these days at 11 years old!
What is your pet’s favorite pastime?
As a senior citizen his two favorite pastimes are napping in front of his personal floor fan and getting as many back scratches as Mom & Dad will give him.
What is your pet’s favorite toy?
The current favorite is a bright purple stuffed alien with a squeaker that squeaks at the same frequency as a dog whistle, so only he hears it and Mom & Dad’s ears are saved from the typical squeaker noise!
What is your favorite thing about your pet?
His goofy expressions and antics. He never fails to make us laugh. Whether it’s the goofy looks he gives us or the spastic little hop-skips he does when he’s excited about something or the mandatory face scrubbing on the living room carpet right after he eats. He’s just our goofy boy.
If your pet had a super power, what would it be?
Telekinesis, so he could get his favorite treats from their storage spot whenever he wanted!
Why does your pet love Caring Hands Animal Hospital?
While he’s not a “fan” of going to the vets office like most pets, he loves the staff at the Merrifield Caring Hands office. They know the way to his heart is with treats and they give him plenty of love and reassurance when he’s there. Plus he gives them all kisses when we’re in the office and he doesn’t give kisses to just anyone!
From our perspective as pet owners, we love the staff (the vets, the techs, and the front of the house staff) too! Biscuit was very sick a few months back and we thought we would lose him. The staff at the Merrifield office took amazing care of him. They listened to our concerns, answered endless questions, referred us to great specialists, and have taken amazing care of our beloved Biscuit since then. We know that the course of treatment will not cure our pet, but it has greatly improved his quality of life and allowed us to enjoy his remaining time with us. Without the wonderful staff at the Merrifield office, we would have already had to say goodbye and for this extra time we are exceedingly thankful.
