Hope – Mixed Breed
How did you obtain your pet?
She is a foster puppy with Knine Rescue, and is looking for a family of her own to adopt her! We pulled her mom and the entire litter of 10 puppies from Mercer County Animal Shelter. They were seized from a neglectful owner and it ended up being a court case. They were all starved and horribly sick when we got them, especially Hope’s mom (who is also available for adoption by the way!).
How old is your pet?
Approximately 11 weeks.
What is your pet’s favorite pastime?
She loves to play and wrestle with other dogs and has plenty of puppy energy. However, when she’s done playing, Hope is also an amazing sleeper! She loves to snuggle on the couch or in bed with humans and other dogs!
What is your pet’s favorite toy?
Hope just recently discovered tennis balls and loves them. But she also has a ridiculous number of stuffed squeaky toys that she loves to play with.
What is your favorite thing about your pet?
Her resilience – Hope is truly a fighter. When our rescue organization got Hope from the shelter, she had a very bad skull fracture and traumatic brain injury, which caused severe neurologic deficits. They were not sure if she would make it, and were concerned that if she did live, she would never be a “normal dog.” Hope proved many people wrong and now is a happy, healthy puppy who is ready for a forever home!
If your pet had a superpower, what would it be?
The power to heal since she survived when so many people doubted her!
Why does your pet love Caring Hands Animal Hospital?
Hope loves that she gets to come to work with me, and ALL of the employees are incredibly sweet and tolerant of her being there. Everyone helps socialize and take care of Hope during the day, and she LOVES to play with the other employees’ pets! She gets to see everything that happens behinds the scenes and loves the wonderful care that everyone at Caring Hands provides for other patients
