Where are you originally from?
I was born and raised in Alexandria, VA.
What are your favorite hobbies/activities?
I enjoy walking, hiking, traveling, and visiting with family and friends. I have recently started painting again and am trying to teach myself guitar. I am also an online undergrad student working towards a degree in psychology.
Name a few favorite books/music/movies:
Lincoln and Childs books, The Kite Runner, Lion, The Great Waldo Pepper, The Hundred-Foot Journey.
Favorite sports teams or icons:
Redskins, Nats, and Capitals.
If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpowers to be?
Time Travel…if that is a superpower!
What special skills do you have?
I am pretty good at painting landscapes…currently trying my hand on animals and people.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Honest, caring, and helpful.
Why do you love working at Caring Hands?
I love the comradery with my coworkers and how everyone is working towards the same goals. I also love the support and feedback we get from management.
What’s something about you that most people don’t know?
- I once spent 10 days in Ecuador teaching CPR and first aid to their local Red Cross rescue.
- I was an EMT for 26 years
- I was bitten by a shark one time (albeit a small one…I hold no grudges-I did step on him).
