Danielle Codispoti – Alexandria
Where are you originally from?
Fredericksburg, VA, but I’ve lived in Fairfax for the past 9 years.
What are your favorite hobbies/activities?
I love animals (obviously), cooking/baking, crafting/home décor, science (especially biology & ecology), and hanging with my kitties and hedgehog.
Name a few favorite books/music/movies:
I’m a die-hard Harry Potter/Lord of the Rings nerd, although the books are better than the movies in my opinion. I like anything true crime and also enjoy binge watching Netflix and HBO. I watch mostly comedies like American Dad, Arrested Development, and Trailer Park Boys, as well as documentaries about crime, nature, and historical culture.
Favorite sports teams or icons:
PITTSBURGH PENGUINS ALL DAY EVERY DAY!!!
If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpowers to be?
Apparition, or teleporting as you non-Potter fans would call it. Actually, I’d just want to be a witch with all of the magic powers that come along with it.
What special skills do you have?
Wit. Working well under pressure. I also speak fluent Cat and have the ability to remain optimistic in almost any situation.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
“Beautiful. Fun. Free. Amazing. Done.” –Tori Minnis
Why do you love working at Caring Hands?
Obviously I love animals, but in wanting to dedicate my life to them, all animal hospitals fit that bill. I love being at Caring Hands because it makes me a genuinely happier person to be amongst a group of people as dedicated to animals as I am, and who were completely willing to educate me and show me the ropes when I knew what I wanted to do but didn’t know how to do it yet. I live closer to dozens of other hospitals, but I can’t imagine spending every day with anyone other than my Alexandria crew. They’ve become my family away from home and I look forward to laughing, crying, learning, and working alongside these wonderful souls for years to come.
What’s something about you that most people don’t know?
I’m afraid of heights…and big cities. No high-rise city living for me!
