How did you obtain your pet?
Dr. Pogo:
I actually found him running in the streets! Poor guy almost got hit by a car ☹ I pulled over, opened my car door, and he hopped in. I found his original owners and, unfortunately, he was a little escape artist and kept hopping out of their yard. Since they lived along a busy road, they asked if I wanted to keep him. He’s been my little escape artist ever since! His original name was “Doc”, but since he hopped into my life (he has jumped over my 6 ft fence before), I added “Pogo” to the end; like a pogo stick!

Serena: She was also an unplanned surprise! I went to the local shelter to apply for a new puppy for my parents. While I was applying for the puppy, my best friend pointed out Serena tucked away in the bottom crate, quietly observing her surroundings. Her puppies were recently adopted, and she was waiting for her forever home. I put in my deposit that day; two months later she came home and became Dr. Pogo’s BFF.

What is your pet’s favorite pastime?
Dr. Pogo
enjoys sunbathing, forcing people and dogs to play with him, and lots of naps.

Serena enjoys perching up on the tallest soft spot in the house (top of the couch or on a pile of pillows), bark at neighbors walking by, and giving endless judgmental stares.

What is your pet’s favorite toy?
Dr. Pogo
: Loud hard toys that he likes to play with during my conference calls

Serena: Soft toys that spread fuzz all over the house

What is your favorite thing about your pet?
Dr. Pogo
is the best snuggle buddy and his wonky eyes are simply the best.

Serena’s tiny head always brings me joy. Although she may be overprotective, I value having her as my little guard dog.

If your pet had a super power, what would it be?

Dr. Pogo: Hypnotizing you with his wonky eyes.

Serena: The world’s doorbell/alarm clock (how does such a large bark come from a medium pup?!)

Why does your pet love Caring Hands Animal Hospital?

Dr. Pogo appreciates that the Caring Hands staff gives into all the attention he demands. He’s thankful for the peanut butter he gets as well 😊

Serena loves that the Caring Hands staff are patient with her since she’s such an anxious pup. Serena says sorry for the scratches during her nail trims!

Dr. Hilson treats both with kindness and they are truly grateful.
