Steak Burgum – Pembroke Welsh Corgi
How did you obtain your pet?
We did our research when we decided we wanted a Corgi puppy and found a fantastic breeder in Texas who was very informative and helpful with the process and our concerns. We picked her up at the airport the day she turned 8 weeks. When we contacted the breeder, Steak’s mom was pregnant and we got the first pick of the litter and chose Steak out of 6 different babies, we knew she was the one for us!
How old is your pet?
Steak will be 7 months on 8/29/2018.
What is your pet’s favorite pastime?
Steak loves to play fetch and tug with any of her toys. She’s been learning “drop it” so it makes playtime more fun. She also loves to play with other dogs of all sizes! She also loves to pose for pictures for her Instagram (@steakthecorgi) because that usually means she’ll get a treat! She also loves to go to training and has been in classes since she was 9 weeks old.
What is your pet’s favorite toy?
Steak has had a pink and red rope toy since we brought her home and she loves to tug and fetch with it and even loves to be pulled around on the floor while she hangs onto it!
What is your favorite thing about your pet?
Steak is incredibly smart and loves to learn new things. She has gorgeous coloring, with black sprinkled in spots on her coat and a little nub of a tail. She loves to play and gets along with everyone and is very sweet.
If your pet had a superpower, what would it be?
She’s such a dramatic little diva. I think Steak would probably have mind-control powers so she could get everyone to do what she wants.
Why does your pet love Caring Hands Animal Hospital?
Even though she doesn’t like shots, she loves all of the staff at Caring Hands and gets excited for all the attention from her friends there.
