Pet of the Week - Beasley Nieters-01

Beasley Nieters – Mutt – border collie and maybe some German short-haired pointer?

How did you obtain your pet?

From Middleburg Humane Foundation. (Shoutout!) All of our pets are adopted. I lost my last border collie mix to cancer and wasn’t really looking but then I saw a pic of Beasley and his four adorable brothers, and the rest is history.

How old is your pet?

Seven, but he’s definitely an old soul.

What is your pet’s favorite pastime?

Off-leash walks with his brother, fetch, and patrolling the yard for intruders (mostly random rabbits and cats.)

What is your pet’s favorite toy?

His Chuckit whistler ball or anything round that you’re willing to throw for him.

What is your favorite thing about your pet?

He’s so smart and in tune with us. I’m pretty sure he speaks English. (And maybe a little German.)

If your pet had a super power, what would it be?

Mind-reading.

Why does your pet love Caring Hands Animal Hospital?

The entire Caring Hands staff — vets, techs and office staff — is incredibly professional, helpful, understanding and kind. They’ve truly gone the extra mile to help Beasley get better and he loves everyone who works there. They’re so nice to him I sometimes wonder if he’ll want to come home! They put up with a lot of kisses. He stands up and starts wagging his tail as soon as we round the corner to turn into the parking lot.
