They administer pain medication before and after every surgical procedures to ensure your pet receives comfort and care every step of the way. If you require certain specialized service that is unavailable at our hospital, we will happily provide you with referrals and certified specialists.
Protocols
- Do not feed your pet after 10:00 PM the night prior to surgery. Water in small quantities is acceptable.
- Admit your pet between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM to review and sign the Consent Form and Treatment Plan. Please allocate enough time to read carefully and discuss these forms. The surgical team will provide a post-operative update and schedule a discharge time.
- Pets undergoing routine surgeries will be released on the same day as their procedure.
- At the discharge appointment, we will explain post-surgical care and review all prescribed medications.
At Caring Hands Animal Hospital, our team approaches every pet's surgical needs with kindness and professionalism towards both pet and owner.

Laser Surgery
- Minimized Pain: The laser seals nerve endings as it cuts, reducing post-operative discomfort.
- Decreased Bleeding: The laser cauterizes small blood vessels during the procedure.
- Reduced Swelling: Since the laser operates without physical contact and does not crush tissues, cuts are made by an invisible beam, leading to less swelling.
