Stacie CarrierCHAH Arlington

Where are you originally from?

I was born and raised in Mission, Texas. I then moved to Anchorage, Alaska with my husband and now we are living in Arlington, Virginia.

What are your favorite hobbies/activities?

I really enjoy cooking and baking. Since we don’t have family in this area I really enjoy spending time with our friends that we’ve made here. I also love going to all of the museums in D.C. I love finding crafting ideas on Pinterest and making little things for our apartment.

Name a few favorite books/music/movies:

I’m not much of a book person so the only books you’ll find at my apartment are cookbooks. I also love listening to any kind of music. I love watching scary, thriller, and action movies and I really love getting into new series on TV, Netflix, and Hulu.

Favorite sports teams or icons:

My favorite sports team is The San Antonio Spurs; Kawai Leonard is my absolute favorite player from that team, simply because he is such a humble person as well as an awesome basketball player.

If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpowers to be?

I would be a horrible superhero, but if I was a superhero I would love to have the power of healing as my superpower. I hate seeing people and animals in pain.

What special skills do you have?

I guess you can say one of my skills is I am able to multitask very well, especially in stressful situations. As I mentioned above on a previous question, I love to cook and bake. I really enjoy experimenting with new recipes and ingredients.

How would you describe yourself in three words?

1.     Competent

2.     Trustworthy

3.     Loving

Why do you love working at Caring Hands?

To state the obvious, I love being around animals. But from my first day working at Caring Hands Animal Hospital I really loved how welcoming every single person was, from the Client Care Specialists to the Veterinary Assistants, and of course our doctors. From the get go I noticed everyone really treats each other with respect and love, just as a family would. I love how every employee works together as a team. I really saw this happen and come together when a recent patient walked in with a dog bite wound and every single person was so hands-on and so supportive of one another. It’s amazing how even on a stressful, busy, and emotional day everyone can depend on each other to lean on one another for support. That in itself really makes coming to work enjoyable.

What’s something about you that most people don’t know?

I really love gloomy and rainy days!
