Dr. Katie LaPorta is a native Washingtonian and earned her veterinary degree from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has spent more than 30 years caring for pets and their families in Washington, D.C. and Potomac, Maryland.

Her professional interests include preventive care, internal medicine, feline medicine, exotic animal medicine, and client education. Dr. LaPorta especially enjoys building long-term relationships with families, helping anxious pet owners feel supported, and caring for pets through every stage of life. She also enjoys working through challenging medical cases and partnering with clients to help them make informed decisions about their pets’ health and wellbeing.

Outside of the clinic, she enjoys gardening, cooking, and traveling. She lives in Maryland with her husband, children, dog Willow, cats Rover and Polly, and lizards Houdini and Fig Newton.
