Skilled Surgical Care for Your Pet’s Well-Being
Pre-Surgery Care
A Licensed Veterinary Technician carefully monitors every pet’s vital signs during surgery. Advanced equipment tracks heart rate, breathing, oxygen levels, CO2 levels, blood pressure, and temperature to ensure safety.
Pain relief is provided before and after surgery because your pet’s comfort is our top priority. If a procedure requires specialized care beyond what we offer, we are happy to arrange a referral to a trusted specialist.
Protocols
- No food after 8:00 pm the night before surgery. Limited water is fine.
- Pet admission is between 7:30-8:00 am. During this time, you will review and sign the Consent Form and Treatment Plan. Be sure to take your time to go through these documents and ask any questions.
- After the procedure, the doctor or technician will update you and schedule a discharge appointment.
- Most routine surgeries allow for same-day discharge.
- The discharge appointment will go over post-surgery care and medication instructions.
The team at Caring Hands Bristow is committed to providing your pet with compassionate care and treating both you and your pet with respect.
We now offer special spay & neuter packages — learn more here.
Laser Surgery Option
- Reduced pain: The laser seals nerve endings while cutting.
- Less bleeding: It cauterizes small blood vessels during surgery.
- Minimal swelling: Since the laser doesn’t physically touch tissue, cuts are made with an invisible beam.
