Caring Hands Animal Hospital is committed to our clients and their pets and we know that pet owners are sometimes faced with questions after our doors have closed.
In response to this need, we have instituted the availability of an On Call Doctor. Each week one of our doctors is on call via telephone if you have an urgent question after hours. This service is provided to give our clients piece of mind when their pets have had surgery that day, starting a new medication, or do not seem to be acting like themselves.
Our doctors will offer advice until you can get into your local Caring Hands Animal Hospital location. A record of your phone call will be sent to your “home” Caring Hands location so all of the information regarding the call will be in your pet’s medical record. Depending on the situation, we may advise that you go to your nearest veterinary emergency facility. Please **CLICK HERE** to find your nearest location.
It is always a good idea to have the emergency animal hospital’s phone number and location stored in your phone and GPS system ahead of time. In the event of an emergency, you will have what you need to get your pet there quickly and call when on your way.
We do want to stress that if you pet is experiencing collapse, difficulty breathing, active bleeding, seizures, etc., please do not call first. We strongly recommend that you immediately go straight to your local veterinary emergency clinic as all of these are potentially life threatening and time is of the essence.
