Marci Streck
Marci Streck, DVM Co-Owner of Caring Hands Animal Hospital of Rockville
Dr. Streck, Co-Owner, graduated from Texas A&M University with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She joined Caring Hands Animal Hospital shortly after graduation. She holds specific interests in soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, dentistry, animal behavior and the human-animal bond. In 2000, she was honored with the PetSmart Human-Animal Bond Award for her work with a fledgling student-led service dog organization called Aggie Guide-Dogs and Service Dogs. Outside of work, Dr. Streck competes in agility with her two border collies and enjoys homesteading. She currently shares her home with her partner and two children, as well as three dogs (Dash, Whisper, and Bickie), three cats (Klondike, Annie, and Trooper), poultry and dairy goats.
Michelle Vitulli
Michelle Vitulli, DVM Founder of Caring Hands Animal Hospital, Inc is the owner of Caring Hands Animal Hospital, Inc in Centreville and co-owner of Caring Hands Animal Hospital of Alexandria, Arlington, Ashburn, Bristow, Merrifield, Rockville, and Clarendon.
Dr. Michelle Vitulli, founder, and owner of Caring Hands Animal Hospital, Inc in Centreville, Virginia, is a 1991 graduate of Cornell University, College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Vitulli is a co-owner of 7 other Caring Hands locations, Arlington which opened in 2002, Bristow, which opened in 2005, Ashburn which opened in 2007, Alexandria, which opened in 2012, Merrifield, which opened in 2014, Rockville which opened in 2015, Clarendon which opened in 2016, and a location in Aventura, FL in 2017. She has interests in cardiology, internal medicine, and preventive care for senior pets. Dr. Vitulli, and her husband Bob have three children, Daniel, Julia and Anna, a dog named Harley, and three cats named Dewey, Little Bear, and Aslan.
Meredith Reynolds
Dr. Reynolds, associate veterinarian, graduated from Bridgewater College with a bachelor degree in Biology and then graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Her interests include ultrasound, dentistry, and cardiology. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, hiking, and cheering on the Nationals baseball team.
Gina Akande
Dr. Akande, associate veterinarian, graduated from Virginia- Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. She is originally from Howard County, MD, and received her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and Psychology from University of Maryland- College Park (Go Terps!). Dr. Akande’s interests include preventative medicine and surgery. In her free time, she enjoys pilates, running, and going to try new restaurants in the area.
Erika Del Pilar
Dr. Erika Del Pilar, associate veterinarian, graduated from Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine. She is originally from State College, Pennsylvania, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences from The Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Del Pilar’s interests include preventative medicine, animal behavior, and internal medicine. In her free time, she enjoys working out, cooking, and going to the movies.
Steph Craven
Dr. Steph Craven, associate veterinarian, attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences, a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, and a Master’s in Public Health. Dr. Craven has lived in many places, including Oklahoma, Mississippi, Wisconsin, Missouri, and Maryland.
Following veterinary school, Dr. Craven pursued a small animal medicine and surgery rotating internship at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, D.C., where she received further advanced clinical training.
Dr. Craven’s clinical interests include nutrition, behavior, emergency medicine, internal medicine, senior care, and One Health, encompassing the public health and well-being of people, animals, and the environment.
Outside work, Dr. Craven enjoys hiking, being outdoors, drawing and painting pet portraits, playing volleyball, cooking, exploring new restaurants and places, and spending time with her partner, two Rough Collies, and two cats.
