Dr. Benjamin, associate veterinarian, graduated from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005, after receiving undergraduate degrees in psychology and zoology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and San Francisco State University. She had been working as a veterinarian for the past 13 years in Berkeley, California at the specialty, emergency and general medicine small animal hospital her father has owned since 1976. Although she was well established as an experienced associate veterinarian and the medical director at Berkeley Dog and Cat Hospital in California, she has found her new “vet-home” at Caring Hands Animal Hospital in Centreville. Her husband’s work moved her family to the DC metro area in October 2018 and she is excited to have joined the Caring Hands team! Her veterinary interests include internal medicine, preventative medicine, and ultrasound. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband, cooking, exercising and enjoying the outdoors in Virginia.
