Marci Streck, DVM Co-Owner of Caring Hands Animal Hospital of Rockville
Dr. Streck, Co-Owner, graduated from Texas A&M University with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She joined Caring Hands Animal Hospital shortly after graduation. She holds specific interests in soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, dentistry, animal behavior and the human-animal bond. In 2000, she was honored with the PetSmart Human-Animal Bond Award for her work with a fledgling student-led service dog organization called Aggie Guide-Dogs and Service Dogs. Outside of work, Dr. Streck competes in agility with her two border collies and enjoys homesteading. She currently shares her home with her partner and two children, as well as three dogs (Dash, Whisper, and Bickie), three cats (Klondike, Annie, and Trooper), poultry and dairy goats.
Michelle Vitulli, DVM Co-Owner of Caring Hands Animal Hospital of Rockville
Dr. Michelle Vitulli, founder, and owner of Caring Hands Animal Hospital, Inc in Centreville, Virginia, is a 1991 graduate of Cornell University, College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Vitulli is a co-owner of 7 other Caring Hands locations, Arlington which opened in 2002, Bristow, which opened in 2005, Ashburn which opened in 2007, Alexandria, which opened in 2012, Merrifield, which opened in 2014, Rockville which opened in 2015, Clarendon which opened in 2016, and a location in Aventura, FL in 2017. She has interests in cardiology, internal medicine and surgery, and preventive care for senior pets. Dr. Vitulli, and her husband Bob have three children, Daniel, Julia and Anna, a dog named Harley, and three cats named Dewey, Little Bear, and Aslan.
Dr. Gina Akande, DVM
Dr. Akande, associate veterinarian, graduated from Virginia- Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. She is originally from Howard County, MD, and received her bachelor degrees in Animal Science and Psychology from University of Maryland- College Park (Go Terps!). Dr. Han’s interests include preventative medicine and surgery. In her free time, she enjoys pilates, running, and going to try new restaurants in the area.
Dr. Meredith Reynolds, DVM
Dr. Reynolds, associate veterinarian, graduated from Bridgewater College with a bachelor degree in Biology and then graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Her interests include ultrasound, dentistry, and cardiology. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, hiking, and cheering on the Nationals baseball team.
