Roxy Garvey – Beagle Mix (lemon beagle)
How did you obtain your pet?
Through Homeward Trails. She originally came from West Virginia and was found along the side of a road. We think she was thrown out of a car because she absolutely hates to be in it for any length of time and she’ll bury her head under the backseat. We also think her former owners abandoned her because she is gun shy.
How old is your pet?
Roxy is 6 years old.
What is your pet’s favorite pastime?
Her favorite pastimes are escaping anyplace she is confined, hunting rabbits, opossum and geese, and finding a comfy sleeping spot. She also loved the agility course she was enrolled in when she was a puppy.
What is your pet’s favorite toy?
Antlers! Also, anything with a squeaker in it – she’ll rip them apart to “kill” them and chew the squeaker out. Obviously we don’t buy those anymore.
What is your favorite thing about your pet?
She loves to cuddle on the couch and in bed. She keeps the kitchen floor clean. She’s very trainable.
If your pet had a super power, what would it be?
To be able to escape.
Why does your pet love Caring Hands Animal Hospital?
Roxy loves Caring Hands because of the kind and friendly staff. Roxy was also extremely sick this past December and at first the doctors thought she had cancer tumors that burst. They ran more lab results and found out she was sick from rat poisoning!
